Cleveland State University celebrated the receipt of the Lafayette Microfilm Collection on May 21, 1998. The program began with a presentation of colors by the Western Reserve Society Color Guard, Sons of the American Revolution.

Following presentations by George Lupone, Interim Library Director, Stephen J. Knerly, Jr. Honorary Consulate, and William Shorrock, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, President Claire A. Van Ummersen recognized John Horton’s role in procuring the collection for Cleveland State University and presented him with a plaque.
