Julie Bacon
Quebec's Julie Bacon brings her durational performance to the Colonial Arcade on Sunday May 11th. as an Invitational Artist. Intrigued by performance as an investigation of a space and mass, Bacon sandpapers pencils until they are dust, creates static electricity by rubbing balloons on her clothes and tests audience members' saliva for its pH. Entitled TRUE TROU, trou meaning hole in French, she asks for lint from the pockets of bystanders to fill in the holes she creates in the space. Bacon is a graduate of Hull University in England and has performed in Canada, England and Romania.
