Chandrasekaran
Chandrasekaran, an interdisciplinary artist from Singapore, constructs and lives in a surreal bathroom installation in the Colonial Arcade for 24 hours starting on Saturday May 6 in this performance cum installation called Parasite. The artist is wrapped in a cocoon and moves about the bathroom, becoming immune to the space. The sinks are teeming with goldfish, the toilet bowls decorated with flowers and the urinals lit with oil lamps. Chandrasekaran explores the process of manipulation and use of power on three levels: body, psyche and mind. Chadrasekaran has been performing for 10 years all over Asia and in Europe.
