Heinrich Lüber of Basel, Switzerland performs his durational piece DOWNLOAD on Friday May 2 at the Colonial Arcade. Over a span of three hours, Lüber speaks into a huge cloth funnel pointed towards the earth as he hangs twelve feet above the audience. His continuous monologue is amplified and mixed, transforming it into noise. He examines the relationship between the body and language and explores articulation as a process. Heinrich Lüber was an organizer of Performance Index, a four-day performance event in Switzerland in September 1995. Lüber has performed his work for nearly ten years, focusing on the connection between the performer and technology.
