Lynn Lukkas

"a room of one's"

Enacting the events of life: birth, sexual and spiritual knowledge, love and death, the performer investigats femininity in a patriarchal society. Triggering motion sensors, the movements of both the performer and the spectators (entering one at a time) control the sound and visual projections, making chance occurance on integral part of the work. This piece is an intensive examination of relationships of power and desire, challenging not only the audience but the performer as well.
