Chico Macmurtrie
San Francisco's Chico Macmurtrie brings his Humanoid and Anthropomorphic machines to life in an interactive performance at the Colonial Arcade on Friday May 9. He has received numerous grants and awards for his work and has presented his amazing robots around the country and around the world. The Super Dog Monkey and The Cultural Skin are two of Macmurtrie's robots that perform life-like tasks, such as drawing, sitting, eating and defecating. These robots engage the audience in participation while revealing the parallels of machines to humans and to the vast machine that is our society.
