Caroline McIntee
Multi-media artist Caroline McIntee of Dundee, Scotland presents her time-based piece, Baby Boy Blue Tuesday May 6 in the Colonial Arcade. McIntee is currently the chairperson of Generator, an artist run organization dedicated to featuring interdisciplinary work in Dundee. Influenced by her Scottish history and identity as a female, she explores the role of women in the work force and the politics of Scotland's English based government. In Baby Boy Blue, McIntee unravels a pair of ten foot long trousers made of four thousand silk ties and knits them into an eight foot skirt. Polaroid photographs taken throughout the piece and the skirt will remain as documentation and an installation.
