Slaven Tolj & Marija Grazio

"Food For Survival"

Slaven Tolj, performance artist from Dubrovnik, Croatia, has exhibited his work throughout Europe, often in collaboration with his wife, Marija Grazio. "Food For Survival" presents a metaphor of a desperate struggle for survival merged with a love scene. Smearing themselves with an unidentified food mixture, Tolj and Grazio proceed to consume it directly from their naked bodies. Their intimacy manifests itself as an artistic creation in pursuit of the universal values of art.
