Yuji Sone
Invitational Artist Yuji Sone of Sydney, Australia combines the elements of text, images, sound and performer in his untitled multimedia performance/lecture, Tuesday May 6 in the Colonial Arcade Ballroom. Sone arrived in Australia in 1987 from Japan and since then has performed in a variety of international performance, visual art and sound festivals. Sone types at a computer keyboard while video images are projected on a screen and sounds and voices are heard from a speaker stationed behind a lectern. He mixes and layers different media to investigate the phenomenon of cross-culturalization in the late twentieth century.
