The Faragher Collection Approximately 1,000 glass plate negatives and prints from the Faragher Construction Company and the Fairmount Nurseries, two companies in Cleveland in the early part of this century.
The Faragher Construction shots show such things as the building of water intake tunnels under Lake Erie, miscellaneous structures in Cleveland and some activities in Wisconsin. Pictured are the construction of Cleveland's City Hall in 1914, and two shots of "Smead's Rolling Road," also in Cleveland.
The Fairmount Nurseries material largely consists of tree planting pictures from the eastern suburbs in Cleveland's heights area, such as shown at left. At right shows a landscape installation in some un-named location. |
